What to Expect

As Cincinnatichiropractors, we want all of our patients to feel immediately at home when they walk in the door. Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important for you to feel comfortable right from the start.

Your First Visit to Our Cincinnati Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home.

You will enter our bright and cheerful office and be greeted by Pam. She will greet you by name and will ask that you sign in. If you’ve already filled out your paperwork, great!

If not you will be given paperwork to fill out; this usually takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes, unless you have a work-related injury or an auto accident injury then the paperwork could take a little longer. Once your paperwork is completed, you will be directed to an examination room.

A Thorough Examination

Dr. Shelby will come in to discuss what symptoms have brought you into our office. He will then do an examination of your spine and will take specific x-rays based on his findings. We take x-rays because “to see is to know, not to see is to guess” and we will not guess about your health. Once the x-rays are completed, you will be taken to the checkout desk to schedule a follow-up appointment to go over your x-rays. You should allow approximately 30-45 minutes for the initial visit.
