Meet Dr. Sky Shelby

Dr. Sky Shelby

I was born and raised in St. Mary’s, Ohio. I have been a lifelong chiropractic patient but due to a shoulder injury in football and a knee injury in basketball my senior year of high school, my interest in chiropractic became a career. I was amazed how my chiropractor kept me playing at a competitive level, after knee surgery and shoulder injections did not work. I felt that the natural approach of helping the body heal itself was the best and only way to health.

Chiropractic Education

I attended the University of Toledo for pre-chiropractic studies for 2 1/2 years and then attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. After 4 1/2 years of study and internship, I received my D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic) degree in 1987.

On a Personal Note

I am married to an amazing woman, Tami, who is employed as a pharmaceutical sales representative, and together we have four children. Chelsea graduated from the University of Cincinnati and is a Brand Strategist. Olivia graduated from Miami University and the University of Cincinnati in Human Resources, Madison graduated from Ohio University, working as a pediatric nurse and last but not least, Sky II is a graduate of Life University in Exercise Science and received his doctorate of Chiropractic and has his own practice in Kinesiology at this location. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising by way of swimming, jogging (ran the ½ Flying Pig marathon) and biking . I enjoy reading books about Elvis and Egyptology. I enjoy traveling to Napa and Sonoma Valley in California numerous times to train my palate in wine tasting.
